WAER White Cane Day T-Shirt Fundraiser

The Wisconsin Association for Education and Rehabilitation of the Blind and Visually Impaired (WAER) is excited to launch our White Cane Day T-Shirt Fundraiser, supporting our annual Scholarship dedicated to empowering the next generation of professionals in the field of blindness and low vision.

This scholarship helps:

White Cane Day is observed annually on October 15th and it celebrates the achievements of individuals who are blind or visually impaired. It also raises awareness about the white cane—a powerful symbol of independence and mobility—and highlights the ongoing need for safe, inclusive environments.

The awards and scholarship committee asked for submissions for designs for a shirt, we had several submissions and appreciate everyone who took the time to design one. The committee voted on their favorites and chose this year's design. The design is on a royal blue t-shirt with the words White Cane Day 2025 centered in the shirt in alternating colors of red and yellow text for each word. There is a white cane on each side of the text. The canes and text are large enough to take up the front of the shirt. 

2025 White Cane Day tees will be available to order until September 24th, 11:59PM. 

Orders with 2025 White Cane Day tees will be available at the pickup location by October 4th or shipped by October 8th (or sooner).  The option to select the pickup location appears at checkout and you will be notified when it is available.
